Forget Labels

The Goal of recovery is to become something new. We are like the Phoenix that rose from the ashes. The minute we make a decision to recover is the moment we are no longer the same person we were before. We are new, we think differently, we actively engage in those around us, we support as we are supported. No longer selfish, we look to be a part of the greater part of mankind, making our mark in the world. Don’t look back, don’t listen to labels such as addict, alcoholic – that is who you might have been before the decision, but it no longer defines who we are. Love yourself, love others, love God and life will improve beyond your wildest dreams. Trust yourself, trust others, trust Good and you will find a peace beyond anything you ever know. Blessings, Dr. Fred
