LIFE MANAGEMENT RESOURCES
AWARDED ACCREDITATION FROM THE JOINT COMMISSION
Plano, TX, July 15, 2008 – By demonstrating compliance with The Joint Commission’s national standards for health care quality and safety, Life Management Resources has earned The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval™.
Founded in 1951, The Joint Commission is dedicated to continuously improving the safety and quality of the nation's health care through voluntary accreditation. The Joint Commission's on-site survey of Life Management Resources occurred in June, 2008.
"In becoming accredited, Life Management Resources was evaluated against a set of national standards by a Joint Commission team experienced in the delivery of behavioral health care services," says Mary Cesare-Murphy, Ph.D., executive director, Behavioral Health Care Accreditation Program, Joint Commission. "Achieving accreditation demonstrates Life Management Resources commitment to provide high and safe quality care."
Fred J. Hansen, Ph.D., CEO, says that accreditation shows that "we make a significant investment in quality on a day-to-day basis from the top down. We seek accreditation for our organization because we want to be the best and we view obtaining Joint Commission accreditation as another step toward excellence."
Dr. Hansen notes that accreditation is attainable only through cooperation and communication among staff members. "Everyone at Life Management Resources plays a vital role in working to meet the standards. It gives them a feeling of prestige to work in an accredited organization," says Dr. Hansen. "They also appreciate the educational aspect of the survey and the opportunity to interact with The Joint Commission team."

Press Release
July 5, 2007
SobrietyToday Releases Ground-Breaking Film “Finding Hope.”
Fred J. Hansen and his Production Company, SobrietyToday, announce the release of the premier edition of the long awaited film “Finding Hope.” Aimed directly at the more than 34,000,000 Americans suffering from Alcoholism and Drug Addiction, the film is the first film created to speak directly to the suffering person and assist them in overcoming the fear that holds them in its grip and prevents them from seeking treatment.
Moved by the fact that there are ten’s of thousands of treatment programs and professionals across America and the fact that less that 2% of those in need actually get the help they need, Dr. Hansen, a Board Certified Psychotherapist and addiction professional, created “Finding Hope” as a means of addressing, in a “one-on-one” “couch-talk”, the questions addicts and alcoholics confront everyday – the issues of acceptance, denial, what does “help” mean, how skill development can work, and in the concluding section, a walk through several levels of treatment plans and 12-Step groups.
Designed for the suffering alcoholic/ addict to view in the privacy of their own home, the film is gentle, compassionate, and uses genuineness and directness to allow the viewer to make important decisions for the future of their life.
It is the hope of the producers that families of those suffering, friends, employers, teachers, pastors, priest and rabbi’s and corporate Employee Assistance Programs will utilize this valuable tool as a means of reaching the suffering person – a message unlike any other every made available.
“Finding Hope” does not promote any program or organization. On the companion website, www.sobrietytoday.com, are listings of virtually all treatment programs available in the United States. SobrietyToday accepts no advertising or funding for any of its purposes.
The film will be released in early August, 2007 and will be available at booksellers across the nation as well as on the website itself.
