Life Management Resources – McKinney, Texas

The McKinney is the newest Treatment Facility in the LMR Family, and it is full of excitement and enthusiasm.  The program is facilitated by Shannon White, BA, LCDC, an experienced therapist who completed her training and internship at Life Management Resources.  Being a “home-grown” therapist, Shannon is fully immersed in the protocols of Life Management and is able to bring an exciting, relevant, and instructive program to patients every evening.  She is quick on her feet and provides both heart-felt words of comfort as well as a quick wit to keep everyone smiling.

From the moment you walk in the door you see what we mean by “Life Management Cares”.  You will be  greeted at the door by administrative assistant, Donna, where she welcome you and help you to understand what the program is about.  She will find out what needs you have that we may be able to help you with.

Your actual intake will be done by Sara Black, M.A., LCDCI/LPCI, our highly educated therapist who will work closely with you to develop a treatment plan that will enable you to accomplish the goals you want in life.  Sara also participates as co-facilitator of the group and will bring many dynamic components to the program – art therapy, meditation and guided imagery just to mention a few.

The evening program at LMR-McKinney is nothing short of DYNAMIC!  The interaction of the group, the friendships that abound, and the love and support you get from not only the staff, but from the patients as well is truly amazing.

Drug Court

Many are involved in the Collin County Drug Court Program, an exciting and helpful program still in its infancy.  The program liaison is Shannon White, who regularly meets with Judges, Court Administrators and Attorneys.  If you think you might be a candidate for this program, consult with Shannon.  Life Management Resources has become an integral part of this wonderful program and we hope to see continued success with recovering patients as a result of this program over the years to come.
